Nach einer langen Pause habe ich mal wieder ein Buch im englischen Original gelesen. Der Roman Blood and Guts in High School von Kathy Acker hat zwar schon 30 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat aber in seiner Analyse und Kritik an der Gesellschaft nicht an Aktualität verloren. Nur die expliziten sexuellen Schilderungen werden heute vermutlich nicht mehr so als extrem wahrgenommen wie noch vor dreizig Jahren. Dies ist auch gleich ein weiterer Grund das Original zu lesen, denn die deutsche Version wurde zensiert um von der Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien für Menschen unter 18 Jahre zugelassen zu werden. Meine Empfehlung Kathy Acker lesen und eine eigene Meinung bilden!
